Speaker: Julie Smith

Midlands PASS is pleased to welcome back to the Columbia area SQL Server business intelligence expert and University of South Carolina alumnus, Julie Smith. Julie will be speaking on SQL Server 2012 Integration Services, which is slated for release in the first half of this year. Here are the specifics of Julie's talk:

Integration Services has been both revered and reviled as an ETL tool. The 2012 release contains dramatic changes from older versions. Learn how these changes address many of the previous versions’ pain points, such as lost mappings in the data flow, glaring omissions in functionality (breakpoints in script components anyone?), and confusing, error prone configurations. Get an overview of the three main areas of this release—Usability improvements, the Project Deployment Model, and the SSIS Catalog. There’s a ton of new SSIS goodness to sample!
